[HCM] Senior Software Engineer — Remote Browser & Stealth (Chromium)

Why Join Us?

At Our Company, we're pioneering the future of intelligent automation. It's an opportunity to solve hard engineering problems, grow with a global-minded startup, and build products that are transforming how work gets done.

Our mission is bold: to build advanced AI web agents that seamlessly handle complex, repetitive online tasks. Our innovative solutions leverage artificial intelligence to interact with the web at an unprecedented scale, transforming how businesses operate.

By joining our Ho Chi Minh City Engineering Hub, you’ll become a foundational team member in a fast-growing startup led by engineering veterans from Meta, Amazon, and Silicon Valley’s top AI companies. We bring a culture of technical excellence, high ownership, and deep product thinking where every engineer has a seat at the table.

You’ll work on some of the most challenging and exciting systems in agentic AI today:

  • Experimental prototypes exploring new use cases for AI agents

  • Real-time infrastructure for autonomous AI decision-making

  • Anti-bot stealth engineering to operate across massive scale

  • Scaling thousands of browsers with ultra-low latency and high performance

Who You Are ?

You’re a deep systems thinker who thrives on understanding how things work under the hood.
You enjoy the challenge of taking apart complex systems like Chromium, figuring out how browsers communicate, render, and get detected — and then designing smarter, stealthier ways to make them work at scale.

You might be the right fit if you:
  • Have a security or systems background, with a passion for performance, scale, and reliability.
  • Get excited about reverse-engineering, debugging obfuscated JavaScript, and analyzing detection logic.
  • Care about clean architecture, modular code, and reproducible builds — even when working in highly experimental environments.
  • Can balance stealth and safety, designing mitigations that are both effective and secure.
  • Communicate clearly, collaborate naturally across Product, SRE, and Security, and take full ownership of your domain.
  • Are curious, relentless, and love pushing technical boundaries that others hesitate to touch.

What You’ll Do ?

  • Build and maintain a customized Chromium-based browser runtime optimized for scale, performance, and stealth.
  • Implement advanced anti-detection and fingerprinting mitigation techniques across HTTP, JS APIs, WebGL, Canvas, WebRTC, and audio systems.
  • Research and reverse-engineer anti-bot frameworks, analyzing client and server detection logic, and develop practical countermeasures.
  • Enhance observability and telemetry, designing metrics to measure stealth effectiveness and detect regressions.
  • Collaborate with SRE and Security teams to ensure browser instances run safely and efficiently within containerized or microVM environments.
  • Define and maintain secure boundaries between stealth modules and core systems to preserve privacy and compliance.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines for browser builds, including cross-compilation, patch management, and build reproducibility.
  • Mentor engineers working in browser internals, review code contributions, and help evolve the product’s stealth and detection roadmap.

Qualifications

Required

  • 5+ years of experience building production-grade software systems.
  • 3+ years working directly with browser internals — Chromium, Blink, V8, or similar complex systems.
  • Proven experience patching, extending, or forking Chromium or other browser engines.
  • Deep knowledge of browser fingerprinting surfaces: HTTP headers, navigator APIs, WebGL, Canvas, Audio, WebRTC, timing, fonts, locale, and plugins.
  • Hands-on experience hiding or modifying automation footprints (CDP, Puppeteer, Playwright, webdriver flags, DevTools traces).
  • Strong reverse-engineering and debugging skills — analyzing minified or obfuscated JS, understanding detection logic, and tracing runtime behavior.
  • Proficiency in C++ or Rust, plus working experience with JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Strong understanding of Linux systems, process isolation, namespaces, seccomp, and running browsers in containers or microVMs.
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for browser builds (depot_tools, Docker, cross-compilation, reproducible builds).
  • Security-first mindset — able to reason about attack surfaces, privacy implications, and trade-offs.
Nice to Have
  • Prior experience with remote browser platforms, anti-bot research, or web automation infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with Firecracker, Kata Containers, or unikernel-based isolation technologies.
  • Experience with telemetry systems (Prometheus, tracing, custom probes) for performance or detection metrics.
  • Background in network protocols and proxying (HTTP/2, QUIC, TLS, reverse proxies).
  • Awareness of compliance and ethics frameworks for automation (SOC 2, GDPR).
  • Contributions to open-source or academic research in browser fingerprinting, privacy, or anti-abuse technologies.
